I percieve Introspection as a necessary tool to cultivate inner Atmospheres. Not only does it serve to center/ground, but it also influences reactions, expands consciousness and helps to connect more genuinely to oneself and thus to the outside. In my experience, Introspection shows up during Creation, Encounters, Movements, etc. and always acts like a door which welcomes to reflect upon feelings/emotions and comprehend them from a symbolic point of view. The act of introspecting and trying to put light upon what is unknown/ambiguous/ungraspable creates inner Movement which redirects energy and opens new pathways. The following images captured some moments which served as invitations into introspection. Each moment showed up as an Encounter – because the Atmospheres of these Encounters felt that familiar, welcoming, secure and soothing to me, I permitted myself to face my inner life safely.
